In know in the past, Las Cruces NM has some Midsingles activities. As well as Albuquerque.
Since currently El Paso does not have an El Paso Midsingles Facebook Group, why not take the lead and start one (so people can find you), and you work within your stake to start unofficial or official Midsingles activities? Something to consider.
But definitely it’s worth it to check out the bigger Midsingles Conferences that are happening across the country.

I am really very sorry for you and me, our Carmichael Stake President won’t allow a Midsingles Ward in our area in Northern CA. the State Capitol California, even though there are very priveledged Midsingles in the California Bay area and Southern CA., etc., but not Northern CA.. I guess the rest of us are just Chopped Liver!
Sorry to hear that. I know there have been some efforts to create either a Midsingles Magnet Ward or traditional Midsingles Ward in the Sacramento area for some time now. Perhaps if your stake president doesn’t allow one, that doesn’t mean other stakes in the Sacramento Area can’t take the lead and start one in their stake. I would suggest working with the stakes in the Sacramento Area who currently have an active Midsingles program, and work with their leaders on plans to have a Midsingles Ward.

On September 28, 2014 the new Alpine Singles ward will be created. Church begins at 1:00 pm at the Highland Heritage Park chapel at 10390 Alpine Highway, Highland UT 84003 (near the corner of Alpine Highway and 104th South. This will be the first ward in north Utah county and initially involves the Alpine, Highland, Cedar Hills and Pleasant Grove Manila stakes. Please come join us.

Hi, how accurate is this info? I’m 39 & live outside of Portland where the mid singles scene is tiny and faces opposition from regional leadership. Self employed, I’m ready to pick up and go anywhere I stand a chance at meeting and dating.
I headed to Arizona from Oregon this past winter and while I met some great new fiends, found no mid singles wards. I was informed that the one that had been there was disbanded a year or more ago. Talks of a new one were rumored. Happy to get more involved to assist updating this list if needed.
This list is being updated on a monthly basis. Tempe Arizona a few years ago had a traditional Midsingles Ward (singles only), Elliot Grove Ward, that got disbanded.
But times have changed, and Scottsdale now has a Midsingles Magnet Ward. and soon Tempe will have a Midsingles Magnet Ward (currently has its own Midsingles Sunday School Class). In Mesa there’s a Midsingles group that meets together…
More and more areas are forming traditional Midsingles Wards or Midsingles Magnet Wards since the inclusion of the Midsingles age range 31 to 45 being mentioned in the Church Handbook 2, Section 16.1 since July 2013.
So, there a magnet ward for singles with kids in utah county? What is the best alternative?
I agree Utah totally needs Midsingles Magnet Wards, but currently there are no Midsingles Magnet Wards in Utah. Single parents with kids at home, stay in their family ward, and can attend Midsingles activities, and/or visit the Midsingles Wards on their “off” weekend.

Can I attend the 31-45 singles ward if I’m 26? I am divorced-no kids but I feel very uncomfortable in the younger singles ward.
I am sure you can visit. Just ask the local Midsingles Ward Bishop his thoughts on the subject. Some Midsingles Wards allow the Older YSAs to transfer their records over, while other Midsingles wards don’t allow records to be transferred until you are 31.
I’ve never been married and started going to the mid singles ward when I was 27. Do what you are most comfortable with. I’ve found most bishops to be very accommodating.

Currently there are no Midsingles Wards in the state of Colorado. More areas in Colorado are starting to have Midsingles activities, but no Midsingles ward as of yet.

Liz, I would assume, you can attend the Oak Hills 8th Midsingles Ward in Provo, which is located next to the Provo Temple.
I have been looking for a Midsingles WARD located in Sacramento and surrounding areas with no results. I have asked the Bishop with no reply, I have asked the Stake President with no reply, I have looked on the Net with no solid answer as to a Midsingles “WARD” to attend. Can anyone tell me if there is a Midsingles WARD close by? I live in Citrus Heights, CA to be exact.
The Midsingles Ward list is current, and so there are no Midsingles Wards in the Sacramento Area. The nearest Midsingles Ward to visit would be the East Bay Midsingles Ward in Concord.
Where is a mid-singles ward, where someone from Spanish Fork could attend?? I tried the Oak Hills but found that I need to be active in my current family ward here in Spanish Fork, unfortunately Oak Hills and my family ward here meet at the same time.
You can try the Sunset Height 1st (Midsingles) Ward which meets on the UVU Institute Building in Orem. And/or try the Alpine Midsingles Ward up in Alpine.

Downtown SLC falls in the Monument Park 19th Midsingles Ward boundaries, which meets on the UofU Campus.

Please help me! I just moved to vernal Utah and there is NOT a mid-single ward. This is considered the “basin area” in Utah and it’s very large with several towns including(but not limited too) Duchesne, Roosevelt and vernal.
I really feel this area needs a mid singles ward
What kind of help are you looking for? I don’t even think Vernal yet has Midsingles activities, let alone a Midsingles Ward, or even a Midsingles Facebook Group. If not, I would suggest starting a Vernal Midsingles Facebook Group, and then if there are not official Midsingles activities, organize unofficial Midsingles activities to get things going. Often once leaders “see the need”, then they will move forward with official Midsingles activities and an actual Midsingles Ward.
Where would I fall? I am a newly single 31 yr old mother of 5 little children. Currently attending a ward that is full of nearly deads or newly weds (of whom I love!). From what It looked like there is not a Midsingles Magnet Ward in Utah let alone Salt Lake County (which is where I live). The other thing I read is that I am not able to attend the Traditional Midsingles Ward that there is here in my area because I have children. Is this accurate? There is not a Midsingles Magnet Ward for my children and I to attend and I cannot attend the midsingles ward either so I will need to try to attend midsingles events through the facebook options?

That’s correct. Currently, there are no Midsingles Magnet Wards in Utah, but you can attend nearby Midsingles activities and/or visit the nearby traditional Midsingles Ward (singles only) on your “off” weekends or times you don’t have your kids.
Thank you for the reply, that was pretty disheartening news but good to know. Just one more clarification, the website says traditional midsingle wards are for singles without children (I don’t have “off” weeks or weekends, I’m a full time mommy all the time with an absent X.) So to clarify, if I ever get a babysitter and I’m available to go to a midsingles ward without my kids, it’s OK to attend, or would they all assume I don’t have children or once they learn I do have kids let me know I cannot attend?
There are a lot of single parents who visit the Midsingles Wards in Utah.
In order to have your records in a traditional Midsingles Ward, you either have no kids, or are a non-custodial parent with kids not living in your home full-time (since traditional Midsingles Wards like a YSA Ward, don’t have Primary or YM/YW) .

There are not any Singles Wards for singles over 45 in Utah. All Singles Wards are Midsingles Wards for ages 31-45. Singles over 45 attend their family home wards and attend either 31+ or 45+ Single Adult activities.
This blog is good. I was able to use the information on the site. As a convert, one of my dreams is to come see Utah. With the information here I was able to fine a way to do that. Thanks to those that put this together.

Is there any talk of getting a Singles Ward going for the west side of Northern Utah County (Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain)? The Alpine meeting house is a good distance from me and that ward is so big, it doesn’t make sense not to split it. Parking is terrible.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see Lehi, American Fork, and Eagle Mountain all have separate Midsingles Wards at some point sooner than later.

Rexburg has a Midsingles Facebook Group with a Midsingles FHE and other Midsingles activities. Search Rexburg Midsingles on Facebook to find the group.
Also, possibly moving to Rexburg for school too. Do you know how to get a Mid Singles Branch/Ward started there?
I would suggest approaching your local Stake and Area Leaders. Often it requires local Midsingles themselves to approach their leaders to show “a need”, and then leaders are inspired to move forward. 🙂
I wish there was a singles ward for those that are older and still have children living with them. Single family ward would be nice then we don’t feel left out with the married family ward.
A few stakes in California do in fact have 45+ Singles Magnet Wards. And increasingly Midsingles Magnet Wards as well.
Hey Matt, I thought I heard that the Scottsdale magnet ward also had a 45+ ward or a “golden singles” ward do you know anything about it.
I haven’t heard of a 45+ Magnet Ward in Scottsdale. Perhaps the Desert Hills Midsingles Magnet Ward in Scottsdale is aware of the other ward.
What about Tooele, UT? I’m currently a member in the Parley’s. I assuming It would be the Granger one. I have also been told that the Parley’s will be disbanded within in the next 3 months. Anything info would be great! Thanks!

I would assume Granger Midsingles Ward in Magna is the closest Midsingles Ward to you. I have heard the same thing about Parleys 7th Midsingles Ward, that sometime soon, it will divide into several smaller Midsingles Wards.

Midsingles Magnet Wards is where all Midsingles (31-45) and their kids in the same stake can attend the same existing family ward together (along with other families who live in the actual ward boundaries.)
Then there’s a separate Midsingles Sunday School Class and other Midsingles activities offered.

I don’t see a mid singles ward for those of us who live in Holladay, but outside of the Holladay ward boundaries. (I went to their ward and they wouldn’t let me join because I was across the street from the boundary line.) There is also nothing for Murray or Taylorsville either.
What stake are you in? For now, until Murray and Taylorsville form their own Midsingles Wards at some point, I believe Midsingles in those areas are still grandfathered in attending Parleys Midsingles Ward.
I’m in the salt lake big cottonwood stake. I went to the parleys ward a few times, but there are WAY too many people for my liking. Do you know of someone I can talk to to see about getting a mid singles ward for this area? Seems like everywhere in the salt lake valley should have one.

I already went to the Holladay midsingles ward and they said I am across the street from their boundaries and so I can’t attend their ward. The girl I was talking to said they have very strict boundaries. (insert angry emoji face) It’s ok….I think I will stick with a family ward till the church makes midsingles wards for all of us.
You might fall into the Union Fort SA Ward boundaries or are still grandfathered in attending the Parleys SA Ward, until a new Midsingles Ward is formed in your area.
Eventually, the plan is for everyone along the Wasatch Front to be inside the boundary of a Midsingles Ward.
Hey Christi, here’s some news: last week in the Union Fort SA ward they officially defined our boundaries to include all of the stakes in the Murray and Murray East coordinating councils. What that essentially means is that with the exception of Taylorsville and Kearns, all of the Salt Lake Valley is now incorporated into an official ward. I just checked, and if you go to the meetinghouse locator on LDS.org, the Union Fort SA Ward now shows up if you live in our boundaries. In your case, you may now be incorporated into our ward (and we would LOVE to have you!), or if you’re in the Parley’s ward, it should decrease in number soon bc many from that ward should start attending the UF ward.

Those of us that have aged out of the 31 – 45 single adult Wards really need 45 + Wards or to do the magnet wards here in Utah. We need to feel the solidarity that we are not alone in being single and there are so many of us and being in a family where it is nice but it’s very difficult to go and see all the happy families. So many of my friends and I have discussed that we need a place where we can go and get to know one another and help one another and date one another. The internet can be very scary and we need a place where we can meet and mingle in an LDS environment and get to know one another and support one another with not only church but activities visiting and home teaching. I don’t know if the first presidency really realizes how much we need wards of Ages 45 Plus. Thank you!

The YSA and SA age groups make sense to me. But for 45+ the needs are not being met. A reasonable and consistent approach would be for each Stake President to designate one family ward in his Stake boundary to also function as the magnet ward for singles ages 45+. Then ensure the magnet ward has support of attending stake singles representatives and stake high council member & bishopric representatives to focus on reaching out to 45+ singles throughout their their stake. Then people can decide whether to continue attending their local family ward, or the magnet ward in the stake. This would lead to increased participation in sacrament attendance and stake singles activities.
What is the age Limit? I am 51 and have been inactive for 3 years since the ward in Salt Lake was shut down.
Midsingles Wards (either as a Midsingles Magnet Ward or traditional Midsingles ward approach) are for singles 31-45. A few stakes in California however, also have separate 45+ Singles Magnet Wards as well. See the bottom of the Ward list for more info.
Basically, there are no options for Magnet Wards 45+ in Utah? The Church leaders really need to reach out to the needs of those of us who do not fit in a traditional ward. Sad 😦

People in Tooele County tend to visit the Granger Midsingles Ward in Magna, since it’s the closest.
I am trying to determine the San Diego MSA/YSA ward boundaries. I am a few months shy of 31 and am considering moving for work to Northern San Diego area. I have been consulting maps but cannot seem to figure out the boundaries of La Jolla vs. Torrey Pines vs. Pacific Beach (MSA), etc. Anyone have any insights? I would prefer a straight up singles ward to a magnet ward…
Hi Michelle, La Jolla YSA Ward serves YSAs in San Diego North Stake, and Torrey Pines YSA Ward serves YSAs in Del Mar Stake.
Pacific Beach Midsingles Ward really has no boundaries and covers all of San Diego County.

Does anyone know why there isn’t a mid-singles ward in Idaho? Idaho Falls – Rexburg could really use one, as I’m sure Boise could.

I’m in the Boise/Nampa area, and have been saying we need a midsingles ward for years! I’ve always been told the area leaders are against them. It would be one thing if we had a good midsingles activities program, but we don’t. It’s really hard to meet active midsingles here. Every now and then I hear rumors that one is going to start, but I’ve yet to see proof of it. By the time we get one, I’ll be too old for it. I know people in their late 30s that are still going to the YSA ward (can’t have their records in the ward or hold a calling, but they go anyway). We really need a way to meet other midsingles! But I guess people in this area are just out of luck.

Hi Tara, we only list Midsingles Wards (ages 31-45), and not YSA Wards (ages 18-30).
Monument Park 19th Ward was a Midsingles Ward in Salt Lake City. It has since been split and renamed the Emigration SA Ward.

The list is currently being updated. Not all wards have updated their 2019 meeting times. If you see a 2-hour block time, that means it has been updated for 2019. If you see a 3-hour block time that means it still needs to be updated.
The Deer Creek Ward in Charleston (Heber) Utah is a magnet ward for all mid singles living on the Wasatch back (Wasatch and Summit counties). We have a small group but it is largely unknown. Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. Its been updated. All Midsingles Wards should have the correct 2024 meeting times. Sometimes the wards themselves are slow in updating the meeting times online, so I usually wait until February for the yearly update.
